For two decades I’ve worked with town leaders, community members, commissioners and staff to address our challenges, build a more stable future, and protect our town and beyond. I believe that more engagement creates better outcomes, and I’ve enjoyed working with you to bring those about. But we have more to do and I’m asking for your support so that I can continue to serve the community on our Town Council.

During this campaign I will listen to people one-on-one as I walk again through all our neighborhoods. If I don’t catch you at your door, please let me know when we can talk! Or volunteer to help me reach out to more of the folks who can’t attend our Council meetings.

Bruce's Priorities

  • Move beyond negativity and polarization by encouraging open, respectful, fact-based dialogue, listening, and engagement.

  • Promote sustainable, fiscally sound, long-term planning to protect and improve our small town.

  • Ensure we are responsive, impactful, and effective in these challenging times.

October 18 update - As I continue to walk, having wonderful conversations with so many people, I’m remembering Diane Causey, who passed away this week. Diane, like me, volunteered for the General Plan Advisory Committee and it’s successor the General Plan Implementation Committee. We sat for many hours drafting language for our Town’s Draft General Plan, which was reviewed by the Planning Commission and Council and adopted (you can see it here). Diane was a shining example of the way Fairfax, open to all involvement, has been shaped by citizens of good will to be a better Town. Thank you Diane.
